A plan...

Our plans for the new year.
Unfortaunly my hubby and I, together, have decided to work on a budget. So far so good. I have been cooking 3 times a day. (Soon to be 2 times when the kids return to school) It actually hasen't been too bad. I've even had the chance to try some new recipes.

Myth: I don't have time to work on a budget.
Truth: You don't have time not to make a budget!

Unfortunately, the word budget has gotten a bum rap - it is basically just a PLAN. When you budget, you're spending on paper, on purpose, before the month begins. But many people view a budget as a straight jacket that keeps them constrained. Freedom and budget just don't seem to go together.

However, when you see that a budget is just spending your money with intention, you'll actually experience more freedom than before. Many people say they've found even more money when they created a realistic budget and stuck with it. We shall see.

Any pointers?????

I hear you, Roni! I know that living by a budget is really the best way to live! I've been on a kick myself this new year with organizing my house. . .and I'm sure my checkbook will be next once I get through all these closets!
