Thanksgiving..........

Becca, Me, Ruth, C and L
ME and Mi Amor
Some of the gang
Me and my twin cousins
We had a wonderful time yesterday at Grandmas house. Not only did she make the traditional Thanksgiving meal for us, she also made her worlds famous tamales. I stuffed myself that I had to up button my jeans. And that doesn't happen often. (or at least I don't let it happen too often cause then I feel sick for hrs) however it was the only way I was going to be comfortable sitting for our ride back home. We are only 2hrs from Granny's house so we were able to drive there and back in one day - not bad for a road trip. We also got to break in my Yukon. R wanted to see how many miles to the gallon it would get and I'm happy that it passed the test - Yay!!

I got to see my Grandma, Grandpa Ben, 2 Aunts and 1 Uncle and 8 cousins who I had not seen in years. They are doing great and crazy as ever.

Here are a few pics of us eating and hanging out.

1st day of ourThanksgiving Break

Found this and thought I would share. Pretty hilarious!!
Our first day of freedom....as the kids would put it. I took the kids this morning to see Madagascar 2. It was too darn cute! They really enjoyed it, even little L approved of it. She's good if you give her a tub of popcorn and a pickle.
We saw so many Life School students there. And many other kids from other schools who are also on their Fall break.

Back to figuring out what we are all going to wear for our Christmas card pictures. and cleaning and organizing.

Have a great week and a very happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

Hi everyone - My computer is up and running again,. It seems like it's been forever since I was last on here. We have been so busy so it wasn't bad after all.
The kids were dismissed early from school today so we headed to Arlington to run a few errands.
I can't believe it's almost the end of November. Where has the time gone? .....And I am loving this cooler weather. I just want to lay in bed and watch movie after movie with the kiddos or my hubby.
We plan to go to Bryan, Texas to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with my family. I can't wait to eat my Grandmothers yummy Mexican food.
What do you guys have planned??
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

Sweet Love

One morning while walking the kids in to school we met up with some friends...
We always stand their and talk until the kids (the ones who are not in school yet) start running wild or start crying. I never take me stroller in unless I know I'm going to be there a while. My friend, almost always takes hers in only because she has 2 to keep up with. So, we talked for about a few mins, turn around to make sure the kids were ok and this is what we see......is this not the cutest thing ever. Samuel was down on one knee asking L for her hand. It was almost like he was asking her to marry him. So adorable! Samuel also has a Mohawk that L thinks is so cool but he didn't have his hair up this particular morning. L was so shy, and you can tell when she's not too sure abut something. She sticks her fingers in her mouth. After a few mins of him on his knee, L bent over and kissed him right on the lips. I just so happen to have my camera with me. What are the chances of that.

80's Bunko

Last night was our monthly Bunko night and yes it was 80's night. I got home, picked out my outfit, got dressed and headed to the bathroom with my can of Aqua net hair spray. Crazy it's still around after so many years. It does it's job "Like Fer Sure"! The kids thought I was crazy when I started on my hair do and make-up. L thought I looked scary. It was "Radical" and "Totally Awesome"! I even popped my collar, tight rolled my jeans and pulled out my red lipstick.
I even won Most Bunkos which made it that much more awesome! (It's been a while since I've won so YAY!!)
I know you want to see pictures so here it goes......

on a mission yet again!

L was on a mission this weekend - I'll explain why. I caught her not once but twice Sunday trying to get into my make-up. I have to admit it was my fault this time for leaving my make-up on the counter. Everyone knows that L loves lipstick (of any sort - one of her favorite things)
While I was getting the house cleaned up after breakfast, C decided she going to shower so I assumed (never assume) that L was in the shower with her. As she always gives L a bath for me while I clean up. After a few mins I thought I would check on them. L was no where to be found. I was in a panic walking from room to room searching for her. I then see 2 little eyes peek out from behind Sissy's huge pillow on her bed. I just knew she had gotten into something. She's was too quite. She got into my make-up bag and found my Color Stay lipstick. Mind you this lipstick is 24 hrs color stay, so it doesn't wash off easily. She looked like a clown. After 1 bath it looked like she had scratches and bruises on her face. Makeup remover, did nothing! I finally used baby oil and that got it off. Silly girl.
What is it about that 3rd child. You can't trust them, they get into everything!

Playing catch up...

James, Trevor, Paige, C and Phobe

Hi to all my blogger friends....it's been a while since my last post. I finally got a chance to sit and load 200 pictures to my computer.

I had the chance to go on a field trip with the C's 5Th grade class yesterday. We visited the Museum of Nature and Science at Fair Park in Dallas. It was one of the best field trips I have ever been on. We even watched a short movie about Caves at the IMax. I was a little nauseous but it was an amazing video! I learned a lot in the few hours I was there. The kids were given a ton of interesting information that I know will stay with them forever.

While we were there the students were given a packet of questions that needed to be answered by the time they returned back to school.

We got to walk around to different buildings in our groups. We had a good group of kids. Here are a few pics I captured of our group.
