It's Friday...

Yay, It's Friday! Daddy took the day off today to spend time with the kiddos. We took them to see Wall-e this morning. The kids enjoyed it but we were very disappointed. It was just OK. It was nice though, getting to spend the day together, just the 5 of us.
We came home to rest for a while before heading out again. L decided it was nap time so we stayed home while R took the big kids swimming.

We also have a game tonight. I won't be playing for a few weeks, at least. Makes me sad but I have to heal before I can do any kind of physical activities.

Share the Love

My friend at tollesons4him gave me this sweet award. Thank you!
Sharing the Love

Crystal at Memoirs Of A Mommy created this award in honor of the donor that saved Noah's Life. Noah is her son and he had a heart transplant when he was under one month old. He just turned one earlier this month!! Her hopes are that in passing this award around, we are creating more awareness of the importance of organ donation. As Sarah did, now it is my turn to pass on the award to Share The Love and spread the word about Organ Donation. I am passing this on to

Peeking Dragon

My favorite Chinese restaurant (Peeking Dragon) caught fire this morning. Not only did it start in their kitchen but it burn down most of the shopping strip, except 1 store on the corner. I'm praying that they have insurance so that they can rebuild or relocate. The good thing is that no one was hurt.

I'm mobile again!!

I wanted to let everyone know that I am feeling much better since my little incident the other night. I am mobile again (not by choice). Although R has helped out a lot with the kids. There's definetley no time to lay around in this house. The swelling is down. And lucky me, no bruising.

It seems like the more I move around the better my legs start to feel. The mornings are the worst for me. If I can get past that I'm as good as new.

Thank you for all the phone calls, text messages, and emails. It's nice to know I'm surrounded by great friends.
Thanks again!

Let me tell you about my day....

When I woke up yesterday morning, I thought to myself, what a beautiful day. There was no rain in the forecast and it was only suppose to be in the 90's. (which is not too hot, considering you are in Texas) I got the kids dressed. Sat down and chatted with Lynssi (sis in law) and my mother in law. Courtney left about 11:00 to a friends house for a sleep over.
I decided to take everyone to the Dove's Nest for lunch in Waxahacie. (one of my mother in laws favorite places to shop) Needless to say my day was going great!! While we were shopping I got a phone call from my hubby that he was home early from work. So we headed back to hang out with him before they had to leave back to SA.
IN the mean time Bubba got picked up by his best friend's mother. He also had made plans to go over for a sleep over. Shortley after my mother in law and sis in law left, leaving only me, my hubby and L. What more could I ask for.....the big kids are gone, my hubby was off to take his napis taking his nap and it was pay day for me.
SO....I did the normal routine. I called my friend Gaby, picked her up, looked at a model home my hubby insisted I had to see and we went to dinner. We got back to her house and L decided she needed my cell phone. I normally don't let her play with it, but I thought why not. It's been dropped a few times what's 1 more dent going to do to it. ONE normal drop and the phone screen is GONE - BLACKED OUT...and NOT WORKING!!!! I'm thinking how could this happen. I don't even remember if we have insurance, R's going to be mad, and I don't have a back up. Many thoughts going through my head. I need my phone since we're selling our house. I left them my number to call if the house needed to be shown.
I headed back home about 7:30 being that we had a coed softball game at 9:00. I woke R up and told him and he said, "I'll see what I can do". Still nothing. I've lost all my contacts....
We noticed that people can call me but I can't call out. So whatever....we left to our game about 8pm. I rode up there with R but he was going to have to drive straight to work from there. So my plans were to ride back with Coach Thrush. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!
9 o'clock comes around we are all set to start the game, I warmed up. I even stretched a little being that I was still a little sore from the game before. The very first time I come out to hit - first pitch at that. I hit the ball!! They bobble it, I'm running as fast as I could to get to first. 2 steps before I get to 1st base. I hear a pop!!!!!!!!! It's my legs...not 1 but my 2 legs.....You've got to be kidding me!!!!!!! The pop was from 1 leg though, but I had just pulled BOTH of my quads (the muscle on the top of your legs). I wish I could day that I was lying but I wasn't, I could not walk on my own. They had to carry me off the field and into the dug out. I was in so much pain. I almost threw up 3 times. I had to lay on my back to prevent from getting nauseous. I have never felt so much pain at one time in my life. (the funny thing is that a team mate, on our team did the same thing right before me - we both were in so much pain we didn't know weather to laugh or cry)
R and another team mate had to carry me out of the dug out after the game and into a golf cart. They took me all the way to our truck. R had to call in to work. L was crying with me. And my cell phone was still broken. AWWWW!!!!!
Luckily, I had some meds from when my teeth were extracted so I was good to go but I had to get home to take them. After my first dose of pain medicine and icing it for 30 min. and wrapping it, I was put back together like new. I just couldn't move.
This morning I feel a lot better. I'm moble again - somewhat. I'm not sure if it's the medcine talking but I don't feel like I did last night and I hope I never feel like that again.
Since my phone is dead! I missed a call from the relator that our house was going to show this morning. 1 thing after another. But what can you do???? Laughed it off!
I'm hoping for a better day today!

Ouch!

While we (the girls and I) were at the duck pond Saturday. Daddy and Bubba were at the gym playing basketball. 2 games later and this is how he came back....
It's pretty swollen and bruised - OUCH!!. The good thing is that he can walk.

Me and my girls!

I took the girls to the duck pond Saturday while Bubba spent time with Daddy. They went to play a little basketball.

New do!

Yesterday I took Sissy to the hair salon to get her hair cut, not knowing what I was getting myself into. I thought we were going in for a trim but the stylist had another idea. We were all a little shocked at the end result but I think it's very cute on her.

Here are some pics of Sissy with her new hair do.

Wii

We got L her very own Wii....ha ha did you think I meant the video game Wii. L's version of a Wii is a swing on a high tree.

Here are some pics of L on her "Wii". Enjoy!

The next step...

Down to the next step of the building process. Things are moving along rather quickly even though at times I feel like we're at a stand still. The floor plans were finalized yesterday and our builder is now getting bids on the lumber and everything else that is needed for the house structure. After we get the plans to the bulider, we then wait for a week for him to get it all on paper (cost sheet), then off to the next step, which is our part.

We have been touring model homes to get an idea on what colors we like and the flooring to go with. We pretty much like the same colors, so that won't be a problem. It's figuring out how to layout the furniture that I'm not very good with. I'm sure we'll figure it out.

R's sister will be here tomorrow to look at houses in Burleson. They will be buying a house and moving here this summer, which we are all very excited about.
Lot's of house talking around here...

Have a great day!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!

Dad at the kids birthday party.

I'm so happy to have a great Dad who has so many wonderful qualities. Thank you Dad for being there when I've needed you. You always know how to make me smile when I'm down.

Our childhood memories: going to the river or the beach for the weekend, playing volleyball in the backyard, playing baseball with me and the boys....(since I didn't have a sister to play with) I could go on and on....These were some of my favorites memories. You are the reason I am who I am today.

Thank you, I love you Daddy!

Hit and Run wins!!!

Big League Dreams off 360 (next to Hawaiian Falls)
L getting into the bat bag.
Watching Mommy hit in the batting cages

Hit and Run wins the first game of the season. The final score was 18-5. I got on base 4 of 5 times. Wow! - is what I said and my hubby. (It helps when you have a real softball college player on the team to coach you every step of the way) However, I made my hubby very proud. Even the kids cheered me on. (B - "Go Mommy, bend your knees, swing hard, you can do it") Too cute!!!

The fields were amazing!!! They have batting cages (which I use before the game) They have an indoor concession stand - so cool. The kids spent most of the time in there eating.

More than likely, I will not be able to walk tomorrow. Every muscle in this body hurts...sniff..sniff
But I'm looking forward to our next game.

I was talking (or more like complaining) to my husband the other day that I never get to do anything fun by myself (like he does)....like bunko, co-ed volleyball or any co-ed sport like I use to in the years past. I really miss it and I could use to work out. So needless to say he sign me up for Co-ed softball. I've played in the past, but it's been at least 5 years since I last played in an actual game.
SO last night my friend Maggie called me to go out to their house to practice. I jumped on that being that I don't want to look like a complete idiot when I go out there to hit. I'm not worried about throwing and catching. I can do that, it's hitting the ball that's coming soooo slow that I have trouble judging, but I did pretty GOOD last night!!! I shocked a few people and not to mention myself. (let's just hope I do the same at the game)
I was hoping to get a few more practices in before our first game but our game is tonight.... YES, tonight in Mansfield at the Field of Dreams off 360. Our team name is "HIT AND RUN".....let's hope I can do just that.

Family night - Air Hogs baseball

This evening we went to the Air Hogs game n Grand Prairie. Storm (B's baseball team) was recognized along with many other teams from the surrounding areas.

It was so much fun and the weather was almost perfect. We sat under a big covered area, where the wind blew non stop. Lucky us, Texas weather can be brutal in June. But I'm glad it say that it wasn't so bad.

We left a few mins before their game was actually over because the kids were getting tired and it was pretty obvious it was way past L's bedtime.

Here are a few pics I took of the kids and the team......

L & her lemon

I love lemons
Just figured out that my little one absolutely loves lemons. I don't know what it is about them but she will do anything to have a slice. My friend Gaby made some sweet tea for us to drink while we were in the pool today. I knew it was coming when she saw the lemons floating at the top of the pitcher. She (L) was excited!!!! I had no idea until she reached her hand into my glass and pulled it out. We sat and watched as she put it in her mouth thinking she would not like it.....wrong, she looked over at us and said "Ummmmm"!!! It was cutest thing ever! She never once made a sour face either. I had to have a try and it was sour!!! I have no idea how she could have sat there without making a faces. The love for lemons....she's the same way with pickles. Makes my jaws hurt talking about it.

Here is a picture of L eating her lemon. She thought it was funny to see me take a bite of one.

3's a crowd

C had her friends over today (Kaityln and Amariss), and boy did they have a blast!!! We started the day with lunch at CiCi's, (not one of my favorites) but hey, they were happy. And they could eat all they wanted too.

The girls waited patiently while L took her nap. After an hour had pasted, she woke up and was ready to go. She knew where we were going especially because the girls had their swim suits on. L loves the water,.so she woke up in a pretty good mood.

We sure got plenty of sun today. The girls swam for about 5 hours straight. They looked like a dried up prune....but it was well worth it.

Here are few pictures I took of C, K and A. What a fun day!

My one and only...

This is a picture of us at the Getzendanger Park in Waxahacie on our 1st grade picnic. WE had a blast!!

Decision has been made....

We finally made a decision of the floor plans for our house yesterday evening. It was a long process but well worth it. We wanted to make sure it had everything we wanted, but mostly, everything that is needed for a family of 5. We have to complete a few more steps to get the actual building process going. It won't be long though. Here is a picture of our land.
