Texas Wins Fiesta Bowl

Texas wins Fiesta Bowl on late TD pass (AP)
Left out of the national title game, Colt McCoy and Texas made the most of their trip to the Fiesta Bowl. They just hope they did enough to impress poll voters. McCoy hit Quan Cosby for a 26-yard touchdown with 16 seconds to play, lifting the third-ranked Longhorns to a 24-21 victory over No. 10 Ohio State on Monday night.

Making it a Happy Home

I got this idea from my friend's blog - LL. "Making it a Happy Home" I thought I would blog on this today.
The past 2 weeks the kids have been home so I haven't really had the chance to clean out their rooms and closets. So I figured since everyone is out of the house, and it's cold and rainy outside why not take advantage of the time.
I've cleaned out the closets, bought a few things here and there to change out some old decor and I am loving!! It's amazing what a few flowers (fake ones not real) can do to a room. I've completely moved the girls room around. I think she will be surprised. I've also made a few changes in decor.
Since my back in not cooperating with me I thought I would just clean out B's room and closet not move the furniture. I did it and it looks great!
I took some pictures but I forgot to take some before. Actually, I was glad I was too embarrassed to show how messy their closets were anyway.....YIKES!!
Make it a Happy Home!
P.S. You'll have to excuse little Miss, she thinks it's all about her when I get my camera out. It's almost always is though - She's like her momma.
Enjoy!!

A day at the park

Today was a beautiful day be be out doors. And that we did. Took the kids to the library, checked out some books and movies, then headed to the City park for some fun in the sun while daddy played some basketball.
Even I got the chance to be a kid for 1 minute. It was fun while it lasted.
The kids and I laughed so hard I almost fell off the swing at one point but I manged to hang on tight.
Thank you to my wonderful children for a lifetime of memories. Mommy loves you all - MUAH!!

A plan...

Our plans for the new year.
Unfortaunly my hubby and I, together, have decided to work on a budget. So far so good. I have been cooking 3 times a day. (Soon to be 2 times when the kids return to school) It actually hasen't been too bad. I've even had the chance to try some new recipes.

Myth: I don't have time to work on a budget.
Truth: You don't have time not to make a budget!

Unfortunately, the word budget has gotten a bum rap - it is basically just a PLAN. When you budget, you're spending on paper, on purpose, before the month begins. But many people view a budget as a straight jacket that keeps them constrained. Freedom and budget just don't seem to go together.

However, when you see that a budget is just spending your money with intention, you'll actually experience more freedom than before. Many people say they've found even more money when they created a realistic budget and stuck with it. We shall see.

Any pointers?????
